  • I feel like I don’t belong or fit in anywhere.
  • I’ve been in church all my life but want a change.
  • Is there a life after Church or faith community?
  • I feel lost.

  • I don’t know who to talk to, I have a lot of unanswered questions.
  • I’m put off by modern Church or faith community and feel like a spectator rather than a participant.

“The beginning of wisdom is found in doubting; by doubting we come to the question, and by seeking we may come upon the truth.”

Counselling can’t change what life brings – but it allows you to ask questions about how you respond to it. Talking with a counsellor gives you the chance to step outside yourself and look at your life from a different perspective.

About me

I have spent 30 years working in the NHS helping minds to heal. As a counsellor, university lecturer and clinical mental health nurse I believe that many of the things that shape us are hidden from our conscious minds.

Like an iceberg, much of our life is below the surface but nonetheless has a huge influence on us. Counselling gives you a space to talk about things in your life that don’t make sense, or that make you sad, angry, confused, frustrated, or afraid.

Talking with me can help you navigate these things better in your day to day life. I firmly believe that with a big dose of self-care and the willingness to chat and explore ‘below the surface’ you can get ready for hope to thaw the ice and uncover joy and meaning in your life again.
